The Backstory

Team Visma | Lease a Bike came to us with one goal: reimagine our wheels without compromise, focused on a single purpose: speed.

We looked beyond the rim and thought about the wheel as a system for speed. How could we make the hub, spokes and wheel all faster together?

The Technology

Our line of SL rims deliver the same aero advantage, predictable handling and industry-leading durability as our standard rims. And thanks to new advancements in carbon layup technology, they’re 30 grams lighter per wheel. That’s 60 grams saved per wheelset. These numbers matter when racing is decided by seconds, not minutes.

At the heart of Tune SL Wheels are the Tune Pico Hubs. Made in Germany with unmatched precision and care, they were developed exclusively for the riders of team Visma | Lease a Bike.

The dedicated hub design and perfect alignment mean that the Vonoa carbon spokes don’t need to bend or twist between the hub and the rim, creating a stiffer, stronger wheel.

Our Turbulent Aero technology means all SL rims are designed, tested and validated in real-world conditions. These wheels are made to be be fast on open roads, not just in wind-tunnels.

Proven on the World Stage

34|37 SL is the climber’s wheelset, engineered for unmatched elevation gain and proven on efforts like Jonas Vingegaard’s decisive attack on Bola del Mundo during Stage 20 of the Vuelta a España 2025.

42|49 SL delivers true all-around aero performance: light enough to climb, fast enough for breakaway sprints. Pauline Ferrand-Prévot made this clear when she claimed victory at the 2025 Tour de France Femmes riding 42|49 SL wheels.

Custom Precision Hubs

Engineered, machined and assembled at Tune’s factory in Buggingen, Pico hubs are purpose-built for Reserve SL rims. The hub geometry aligns precisely with ERD and spoke hole offsets, allowing the carbon spokes to run straight without bending or twisting.

The result is a stiffer, stronger wheel with a more planted road feel and exceptional energy transfer for sprints and breakaways.
